is an online photo club
Where people can be virtually together and submit and vote on their favorite original photos taken by them! Before submitting make sure to look at all rules and guidelines and other relevant tabs to make sure that the proper procedures are followed. There are multiple categories also for submitting and they can be found further down on this page. Get in touch with us! We would love to hear your suggestions and feedback for any improvements or ideas that you might have!
Below towards the bottom of the page includes the chat room and the email form to send me an email. Also down there are the categories for the photo gallery which includes Nature, Food, and Still Life pictures and goes far into depth about each category , so make sure to read them and make sure that your picture or photo meets the requirements before submission. There is also a second button right beneath this section to take you to the voting page.
Photograph Categories
Below are the following categories: Still Life, Nature, and Food
The first category of the club is Still Life photos. These are either photos, drawings, or paintings that feature inanimate objects as the main subject of the piece and other objects either strewn about scattered loosely around the object. The most common objects used in these pieces are common place objects that can either be natural or manmade. Some manmade examples that are often used are vases, books, or instruments. Some examples of natural objects that are often used are flowers, fruits, and food. The example provided above is an example of both facets being used in a way to make it even bolder.
The second category of the photo club are photos of Nature. Nature photography tries to capture the art and beauty of pure nature in its finest. This includes landscapes, wildlife, and plants. Unlike other kinds of photography, nature photography emphasizes the use of natural light and elements and an uncontrolled environment where it’s smiled upon. This is also an incredibly broad category because of the fact that nature is a broad category. When you say nature photography, most people think of forests or trees but don’t forget places like deserts, mountains or salt plains are considered and are nature also!
The third and final category that we are covering is Food photography. This type of photography includes and centers on the subject matter of (obviously) Food! These photographers. These typically use a studio setup, lighting, and strategic angles to make the food look as appetizing and appealing as possible. These methods are used to either promote, buy, or try the food being shown. The backgrounds are usually clear and uncluttered to keep the focus on the food and to try to keep the distractions to a minimum. Another important and key factor is to keep space around the food empty to allow breathing room in the photo.
